There's only one thing better than a hot drink on a cold day and that's a great scarf...
I've already shown you a flannel scarf idea (link to it here)
Now it's time for a crocheted version.....
Cream Version:
Approx. Size: 11.5" wide and 35.5" length (when loop is laying flat)
You will need: approx. 3 balls of 100g worsted weight yarn
4.5mm hook
Chain 230, slip to join last stitch to first, forming a circle. (make sure your chain isn't twisted)
Round 1: Chain one and hdc into first stitch and each top chain around, till last join round with a slip stitch...pictured below.
Slip: Insert hook into first hdc chain, yarn over draw yarn through all loops.
Round 2 and all rounds till desired width: repeat Round1
Super easy!!
Blue Version
Approx. Size 9.5" wide and 39.5" long
You will need approx. 6 balls 1.75oz 3ply size 5 mercerized cotton
5mm hook (yarn calls for 3.75mm hook, but I wanted a looser stitch)
Chain 250
and make with the same stitch and procedure as above.
You can try other crochet stitches for a different look. You can also lengthen or shorten to your desired length by testing the chain before joining the ends together, as well adjust the width by how many rounds you choose to complete. Don't be afraid to use a different weight of yarn too. Again test the length as you chain until you find the length you want by wrapping the chain around your neck, and test the width by trying your scarf on as you complete your rounds.
Nice! Such talent. I don't crochet or knit, but keep thinking I should learn.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scarves! I've been trying to convince myself to try to make an infinity scarf with crochet. Haven't gotten myself convinced, yet. LOL
