Update on the New Room....and a Let's S.E.W. Link UP

First I want to apologize for my delay on getting the Let's Sew Link Up posted on time.....

And for not getting around to everyone who linked up last month....I will visit you all this week, I promise !!

Getting through the reno and setting my spaces back to working order has taken so much longer than I had anticipated....but my computer is now set up again and on a new desk from Ikea

.....along with a coffee table for my printer

and CD tower for thread (and I gave my palm a blister...lol, seriously ) so even if I am not sewing yet, I can at least keep the blog up to date!!!

The Eddycrest sewing tables have found their place and I am working on stocking my drawers and putting away and organizing my new work room,

but I am waiting for another set of cubbies to arrive, so I have hit a stand still there....

That makes the new space is a bit of chaos at the moment, but very happy chaos....I smile everytime I walk into this room....but can't wait to start using it!! I wish there were little Christmas Elves that would come in during the night and finish all of this for me...😂😂😂

New Room Update and Weekend Sales.....

I had hoped this blog journal would be post renovation....but the reno continues....

It's always more than you think it is going to be, taking on a reno. It takes longer, you come across issues you didn't expect or it snowballs into more fixes and refreshes...lol...😬😜

This is my bedroom....

Having to dig through this disaster to unearth my computer and set it up on a folding table......was a bit frustrating....

and see that small space on floor in the picture below....its full of stuff now too...

where does it all come from🙄...

There's a path to my bed and closet... you can no longer get around the bed,

you have to climb over it...which at 20 would be fine but at 50ish is just funny🙃.....

This is the Original UpStairsHobbyRoom....

I want to sew so badly....I am going through creative withdrawal.....

I just hope I have enough time to make some Christmas gifts this year...

I know how blessed I am...so please forgive my little rant....to be getting this space is just so amazing and I am so very grateful...but please just let it end soon.......😉

So this is were the reno is at....

You can see from the picture below all the base cupboards and the right side uppers have all been removed and the room has been painted BM Grey Mist. It's already so much brighter in here...with pot lights still to be installed.

The New Space....

We are waiting on replacement counters.... baseboard heaters and paint and wall touch ups...

and this space will be all mine !!!

I did move my fabric stash into its new home though😁

So I'll keep saying soon...and one of these days it will be.....done, a distant memory and a complete creative mess like it was meant to be......

What I've Been Up To:

On a personal note: not allowed to share any pictures of my new granddaughter on social media, sorry! I do understand and respect my daughter and son-in-laws wishes. I did get to sneak in a cute picture of her, one plus hour old feet, in my last post though....sneaky me....just believe me she is amazing....😊

Update on the new room:

If you follow me on IG (at upstairshobbyroom) you will have seen the short video clip of the opening of the wall between my now room and new space!! It has indeed been an exciting day after 2 days with no activity. Today the priming has happened, the ceiling is painted, the new window was installed and the door opening was cut......I was doing a happy dance I am not ashamed to say...😂

This is what my bedroom looks like, after clearing out my now hobby room...
it's a danger zone for sure right now...

Let's S.E.W. Link Up

It's November 1st already....And we had a very fun Halloween night...with only treats...no tricks...

as we welcomed our first grandchild, little Ava, into our hearts and lives...

I'm full to overflowing and feeling so blessed....
and I've already purchased her first Christmas ornament for our tree...
a hand blown pumpkin from a local artisan, Kitras Art Glass.
Just needs a ribbon and a label😍
